Tin tiles were invented in America to create ceilings that mimicked homes of European aristocrats. Sheets of tin were hammered out in cast iron moulds and the finished product was painted to give the appearance of hand-carved plaster. Our reproduction tiles are not recommended for the ceiling but do make stunning wall and floor surfaces for the instant vintage look.
