Shaw Stone is the South of England’s most technically advanced granite supplier. Our service combines traditional stonemasonry skills with the highest-quality materials and cutting edge machinery. Customers come to us for granite because, when it comes to stone, our expertise is unrivalled.
In the example below, the customer had decided to replace their original worktop with Nero Impala granite worktops. Our team arrived on site and got straight down to work. Firstly, the original worktops were removed and the carcases were levelled correctly. Then the granite was lifted into place and jointed together. The upstands were added to create the perfect finish to the new kitchen – one that the customer could be proud.
We relish the opportunity to work on brand new kitchens too. Below, you’ll see newly fitted Uba Tuba granite worktops we fitted for a customer, who requested that the sink run also comprised a breakfast bar. This had an unsupported overhang of 300mm – the maximum overhang we suggest (extra support would have otherwise been required in the form of a supporting kitchen leg or gallow bracket).

Granite comes in a variety of shades, including lighter colours. The Thunder White granite used in the kitchen below perfectly complimented the light and open feel of the kitchen.
Whereas the Thunder White granite used in this example presents a completely different atmosphere – more quirky and eccentric perhaps.
Of course, granite isn’t just used for kitchen worktops. In the example below, you can see that the customer decided to have both their kitchen island unit and window sills kitted out in Café Imperial granite.
Note how we put a recessed drainage area on the island so the water has a run off back into the sink – this prevents water from dripping all over the floor.
Some customers also request granite splashbacks. In the example below the customer asked for a large breakfast bar area made of Amazon Star granite. We ensured that there a maximum 300mm unsupported overhand, to allow for bar stools and leg room.
Once the granite was lifted into place, our fitters went about their business, levelling and jointing up the stone. The customer chose to get the splashback, windowsill, and downstand done in matching granite.
Vanity tops are also a common job when it comes to granite. Here you can see a vanity top cut-off that we fitted in a bathroom using a River Valley White off-cut.
When it comes to granite and your home, you need fitters you can be sure will do a good job. You need fitters who know all there is to know about stone.

As well as being southern England’s most technically advanced granite supplier, Shaw Stone is also an industry-leading quartz-engineered stone fabricator. We only use the very latest CNC computerised cutting, milling and polishing machinery, which combined with our traditional stonemasonry skills create quality quartz products that are second to none.
Our customer wanted a kitchen worktop and aesthetic style that would really catch the eye. The chosen colour was a red Lunastone Rossi Luminoso Quartz, which would also be fitted on the window sills to match. The white ceramic sink against the red worktops works incredibly well, giving the kitchen character.
Brand new kitchens are always a challenge we relish. This one below, for a customer in Hill Head, Hampshire, had requested Lunastone Caramello quartz worktops for a classy, sophisticated look. Our fitting team arrived early and started lifting the quartz into place. When it was levelled and jointed, the upstands and window sills were added behind the undermounted sink to create the perfect finish.
Word travels fast when it comes to quality quartz kitchen fitters. After fitting a brand new quartz kitchen worktop in Guildford for a customer, just a few weeks later we were back on the same road at a neighbour’s house to fit one for them. Shaw Stone had been highly recommended, and as you can see below we didn’t disappoint. The customer chose Bianco Carrara – a marble-like quartz – which we levelled and jointed before adding the upstands, matching window sills and splashbacks.
