Shaw Stone’s unique Template Free 30mm Granite worktops

This is a unique system designed by Shaw Stone that is the perfect option for people who want solid 30mm worktops fitted without the delay between survey and fit and at a much keener price. The revolutionary new Template Free Blanks system offers unprecedented value and quality.

Traditionally the process of fabricating a Granite worktop is quite involved entailing templates, specialised cutting and installation. These processes are by definition expensive but sometimes necessary with unusual or elaborate kitchens.
Shaw Stone have designed the Template-free solid granite worktop as a cost effective alternative for our customers with a simpler kitchen.

The worktops are made in three sizes with upstands and back-splashes to match. From these we are able to fulfil most kitchen layout requirements. This system does not always require Templating as often unpolished cut outs and all cutting to size and extra edge polishing can be done on site on the day of fitting (providing there is a suitable private exterior work area e.g. driveway or patio. We cannot use the road or pavement). We are therefore able to offer a high quality granite worktop at a fraction of the normal cost.

Installation:
Shaw Stone have a team of friendly, fully trained fitters who will be pleased to fit your granite worktops for you (please see below for cost). Please note that we are currently unable to offer polished sink cut-outs or drainer grooves for the Template-Free worktops cut to size on site, however we do supply a templating service in these instances at a cost of £176.25. Our factory is based in Hampshire and there will be an extra delivery charge to fit jobs which are more than one and a half hours driving time from there. Please ask for more details.

Worktop Blanks

The Worktop Blanks are lengths of 2500 x 650 x 30mm. They have 4 flat polished edges with a 1mm chamfer (polished to 3mm on fitting). Worktop Blanks are supplied either complete or as Half Blanks on a pro-rata basis

Island & Peninsular Blank

The island blanks are 1540 x 1040 x 30mm or 1800 x 900 x 30mm. They have all four edges flat polished with a 1mm chamfer (polished to 3mm on fitting if required).

Upstands & Backsplashes

Upstands are 2500 x 100 x 20mm and have the top edge flat polished with a 1mm chamfer. Upstands are supplied either complete or as Half upstands on a pro-rata basis. Backsplashes can be cut to requirements from 2500 x 650 x 20mm blank, please contact us with size required for a price.

*Polished cut outs, tap holes and drainer grooves will require templating at an extra charge or you can supply an accurate drawing and sink templates 7 days before fitting.

Where possible all cutting to size, extra polishing, cut-outs will be done on site. Unless stated above all cutting and polishing is included in the fitting charge.

† An extra mileage charge may apply if the site is long distance away or difficult to get to, i.e. more that one and a half hours driving time from Fareham , Hampshire. Please ask for details if you are unsure.

Notes
All Natural materials supplied are subject to their natural markings, veining, venting and variations in colour and shade. No claim on this account can be made.
Tolerance in dimensions and thickness is +/- 2mm
Shaw stone Ltd. will quote for and plan to place the joints in the most practical and economical way for using the material. Should you have any concerns or queries regarding the positioning of the joints these should be raised before we visit site to measure or fit.
Customers are welcome to view the granite at the factory before any cutting takes place.
Supplies of fresh water and either 110v or 230v electricity should be available on site to us FOC.
Shaw Stone do not undertake any plumbing or electrical work relating to the installation of the sink or hob.
All worktops will be sealed on site.
A work area outside the property should be made available for cutting and polishing.
Some noise and dust will be created whilst cutting and polishing.
Fitting charges shown are based on normal access to the kitchen, i.e. ground floor. Where difficult access is the case such as stairs or where there is no vehicle access to the property Shaw Stone should be informed prior to arrival as extra costs may be involved.
Where Shaw Stone are to fit all base units must be fitted before we arrive on site.
Should the fitting date need to be changed by yourself for whatever reason at least 48hrs notice should be given. We reserve the right to charge a £58.75 inc. charge for late (less than 48hrs) cancellation or postponement.
Should our fitter arrive on site and it is found that they cannot immediately start work for reasons caused by yourself (i.e. kitchen not being ready) we may postpone the fit to another day. We reserve the right to charge £176.25 inc. cancelled site visit charge in this instance!
Shaw Stone reserve the right to change prices without notice.
