Granite is a beautiful long lasting hygienic material - ideally suited to countertops and worktops in the kitchen or bathroom. It is waterproof, stain-resistant, heat resistant and very tough. Your kitchen worktops need to be durable and easy to look after - granite fits the bill. It will maintain its diamond polish sheen for years and is easy to look after, it just wipes clean.
Worktop Blanks
Shaw Stone Ltd. is a leading importer of granite blanks. By directly importing full container loads of 1st quality pre-cut and polished granite worktop blanks from around the world we are able to offer the following advantages:

Template free fitting service
For standard kitchens and bathrooms we are able to offer our template free fitting service. So long as you have an area outside your property (owned by you) i.e. a driveway etc. we can cut the blanks onsite and fit them the same day saving you even more time and money.
Template and fitting service
For more complicated layouts and/or work required i.e. undermounted bowls, drainer grooves etc. our templater will visit your property on a pre-arranged date to make a detailed template of your work surfaces. Your work surfaces will then be cut in our factory and our skilled fitters will return approximately three to five days later to fit them.

Worktop Blanks
The Worktop Blanks are lengths of 2500 x 650 x 30mm. (Midnight Black & Star Galaxy are 2700x650x30mm) They have 4 flat polished edges with a 1mm chamfer (polished to 3mm on fitting if required). Worktop Blanks are supplied either complete or as Half Blanks on a pro-rata basis.
Island Blank
The island blanks are 1540 x 1040 x 30mm or 1800 x 900 x 30mm. They have all four edges flat polished with a 1mm chamfer (polished to 3mm on fitting if required).
Cladding Blanks
Cladding blanks are either 2500 x 650 x 20mm or 2000 x 800 x 20mm. They have 4 flat polished edges with a 1mm chamfer (polished to 3mm on fitting if required). Cladding Blanks are supplied either complete, as Half Blanks or as quarter blanks on a pro-rata basis. Cladding blanks are often used for window cills, back splashes etc.
Upstands
Upstands are 2500 x 100 x 20mm and have the top edge flat polished with a 1mm chamfer. Upstands are supplied either complete or as Half upstands on a pro-rata basis.
