Made from a blend of natural minerals and acrylic, our solid surface worktops are perfect for awkward spaces, unique designs or homeowners who simply want a smooth surface with barely any visible seams. As these two compounds can be heated and shaped in a process called thermoforming, the design potential is massive. Our range covers four brands: Corian®, Hanex, HI-MACS and Staron.
Features and benefits
As Corian® and the other solid surfaces can be formed into any shape with inconspicuous joins, it’s possible to produce beautiful, continuous, smooth worktops which look stunning. These can incorporate sinks, hobs and taps without requiring separate pieces. That’s not all, of course. This material is non-porous, meaning it doesn’t harbour germs and is very hygienic. As such, it’s a popular choice in kitchens and medical centres.
It’s resilient, durable, easy to clean, solid, hard-wearing and eco-friendly – any surplus produced when making a surface is reused, not disposed of into landfill. Practicalities aside, solid surface worktops are available in dozens and dozens of colours, so there’s always something to suit your home or make an impact.
Where you’ve seen Corian®
It goes without saying that you may have encountered Corian® kitchen worktops and solid surface worktops in the kitchens of discerning homeowners. However, you may also have seen it in bathrooms, offices, shops, restaurants and schools in addition to the aforementioned medical establishments. Due to the almost endless shaping possibilities, you may have walked through Corian® foyers, up some Corian® stairs, opened Corian® doors or leant on a Corian® bar. It’s used as wall cladding, in lifts and for railings too. It can be applied to almost any environment, so just ask!
Corian is offered in a wide selection of colours. Have a look at the colour pallet and choose the ones that would work best for your kitchen.
The installation process is a fairly simple one. We’ll create a template of the surface you would like, then feed the measurements into a special computer which allows us to produce the surface to the exact size. The worktops are then affixed by our experts to the existing carcass, the joints are prepped and the surfaces sanded.

While these surfaces are resistant to high heats and tend not to absorb liquids, we always recommend that you never place hot pans directly on the Corian® and to use a cutting board or mat to protect your surface when using highly-coloured liquids of any sort. Any spills should be wiped away immediately.
Cleaning is simple – all you need is hot soapy water and a non-abrasive cloth. Never use bleach, ammonia or silicone-based cleaning products. Follow these guidelines and your worktop should remain in top, beautiful condition for many years.
